We just ran across this action shot of Neverstore bassist Oscar Kempe onstage in Japan earlier this year mowing down innocent civilians with his beloved Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass® guitar, and thought we’d share.
You know, the Vintage Modified Precision is especially well suited to punk rock in general and Swedish punk trios like Neverstore in particular, so everybody’s happy.
“I have always loved (the) Precision Bass and now I have found the one that really works best for me,” Kempe said. “The best bass I have ever played on. I have compared my Squier bass with other basses that cost as much, and none of them come close to what my Squier Vintage Modified Precision Bass delivers.”
Neverstore has been giving ’em the business with youthful vigor and catchy punk hooks for several years now; debut album Seven Hundred Sundays was released in early 2007 and scored big at home in Sweden with first single “So Much of Not Enough.” MTV and online exposure has snowballed ever since, and Neverstore recently found itself among the nominees for “Best Swedish Act” at the 2008 European MTV Music Awards. Latest album Heroes Wanted was released in February 2008.
